Rotisserie Fish Fry catches on!

It is Ash Wednesday. The start of Lent marks the start of the popular fish fry season in Western New York. A longtime company has a new twist on the traditional favorite. Federal Meats, which was founded back in 1930, claims it has WNY's only rotisserie roasted fish fry.

Hamburg store manager Rick Howell says they start with battered or breaded fish and let it slowly roast for 35 minutes.

"It's not deep fried. There's no excess oil involved so it's much lighter, lighter texture," Howell explains...
